GOLF IS BOOMING IN SOUTH EAST ASIA

Courses across SE Asia are experiencing a mini boom with a new group of golf vacationers arriving.

Whereas before golf courses in Thailand used to attract European and American golfs escaping the wintry weather, now golfers closer to home are also flying in to enjoy the sunny weather.
With this in mind, a new golf guide has just been launched this month called Destination Golf SE Asia 2023.

Publisher Dermot Synott from Destination Golf Travel said, “We have been successfully publishing golf guides for the past twelve years covering all the top European, South African, and Middle East regions. We felt now was the time to include SE Asia as well.

The guide which covers the top courses in Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Malaysia, also has exclusive interviews with Sir Nick Faldo and Greg Norman, both who have designed many tracks in the region.

The guide also features useful tips on getting the most out of a golf vacation across SE Asia.
Asia Editor Mike Bridge added, “With shorter flights and easier entry requirements there has been a shift in the demographics of overseas golfers, with many vacationers from India and neighboring Malaysia and Singapore playing all the top courses here, especially in Thailand and Vietnam.
